A FANUC robot carrying a large milling spindle cuts a part designed by CNC
software. RobotWorks can read-in standard 3 and 5 axes CNC files (“G-Code”)
and calculate a robot path from the imported points. This example shows how the
milling strategy generated by the CNC software comes into the play
automatically, as RobotWorks understands ‘feed’ and ‘rapid’ speeds.
KUKA robot mounted on a linear track, equipped with large milling spindle, is
milling a model of wind turbine blade. This path can be generated inside
RobotWorks, or the path can be imported from popular CNC software.
